Our Junior Development Program is an innovative approach geared toward long term athletic and golfing excellence, with the added benefit of dramatically improving your child’s abilities in all other sports and physical activities. Based on the proven principles of Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) and the highly acclaimed TPI Junior Golf program, the Junior Development Program uses physical and mental activities that are appropriate to both the child's biological age and their current “best” learning and development model.

The activities are challenging, rewarding and FUN! Young athletes will gain strength, quickness, speed, agility, balance and confidence. Most importantly, they will have a great time doing it!

Young Athletes will kick, hit, throw, putt, catch and chip. There are wrist release stations, strength building stations and stations where children will begin developing explosive power – all important elements today’s game. Built into each station are exercises and movements that enable athletes to learn the true fundamentals of golf within the context of the long term athletic development model used by leading elite sports federations throughout the world. Our coaches will teach young minds and bodies how to be the best they can be, in golf as well as other pursuits, and do it in an incredibly fun and engaging atmosphere.

Children participate in a 60-minute session each week. The 60 minutes include a warm-up, team-building activities and multiple skill stations.

Each week’s 60-minute session takes the athletes through exercises and activities that develop and nurture their fundamental movement and sports abilities as well as golf specific skills and drills. And during each cycle, the athletes learn and eventually master a different theme such as grip, alignment, posture, weight shift, rotation, balance and speed. Jr Dev Swing

Our Junior Athletes are also taken onto the golf course for on-course playing and instruction. Our on-course instruction activities are skill and age appropriate. Some athletes will use drivers, wedges and putters. Some athletes will use tennis rackets, footballs and field hockey sticks. And some will use a combination of both. But all of them will use the skills learned and practiced during their development sessions.

The philosophy is simple: Turn a child into an amazing athlete. Then turn the athlete into an amazing golfer.

For most sports and for most things in life, it takes 10 years or 10,000 hours of deliberate practice to master something and become an expert. Golf is a bit different. Golf is a 20-year sport. Most “experts”—players who have won on the PGA Tour — took almost 21 years from the time they started training to win their first PGA Tour event. And at some point along the way, they all learned how to make like an athlete with great balance, stability, speed and power. Our Long-Term Athletic Development model systematically takes each child through each level of that development. Those levels are based on the child’s biological age, not chronological age. We do not make children do what their bodies are not ready to do. Children need to know they are progressing. We can tell them until we’re purple in the face that they are doing great. But that does little compared to the children actually seeing and feeling that they are progressing. Our athletes see constant progress, and they love it!!!

We are convinced that this approach can not only give your child the chance to become the best golfer they can possibly become, but that it can have far reaching effects across their other athletic and related social activities as well. All of this with an incredibly positive impact on their confidence and athletic self-image both on and off the golf course.

Each Junior Development cycle runs for 5 weeks and includes full coaching sessions in golf and the related athletic fundamentals. Students will also participate in an initial placement and evaluation session. Students will the then be placed into small groups with athletes of similar age, ability and experience. Our coaching staff will develop a skill specific program for each athlete that gives the student the best possible path for improvement. This program is designed for lasting, long-term athletic and skill development and students may repeat the program as often as they would like. As the student progresses, their personal training program will reflect the gains in their skill and experience level. Students will progress through a series of color designated achievement levels that give them a clear roadmap to success, will providing a fun and motivating platform based on both near and long term goals.
